Paediatrics is the branch of medicine that aims to treat infants (babies) and children. Paediatricians determine particular health issues, diseases and disorders related to the stages of growth and development in this young group of patients. Paediatricians need to work with the patient’s family or guardian for better diagnosis (from their observations) towards the welfare of the child. Many pediatricians work as primary care physicians. This type of pediatrician performs regular health and wellness checkups. They also diagnose and treat a wide range of general health conditions, give vaccinations, and offer appropriate health advice to young people and their parents or caregivers.
