The Launching Ceremony of O-Arm Surgical Imaging System

It is a great pleasure to have Dato Sri Professor Dr. Sim Kui Hian, Deputy Premier, Minister For Public Health, Housing and Local Government, YB Tuan Lukanisman Bin Awang Sauni, Deputy Minister for Health Malaysia, YB Datuk Lee Kim Shin, Minister for Transport Sarawak & YB Adam Yii Siew Sang, Miri City Mayor for officiating the Official Launching Ceremony of O-Arm Surgical Imaging System at Borneo Medical Centre (Miri) on 6th May 2023.

The O-arm Surgical Imaging System is a surgical imaging platform designed for use in spine, cranial, orthopedic, ENT and trauma-related surgeries. The O-arm is a portable imaging device with a C-shaped arm that fits over the surgical table to take traditional two-dimensional X-ray images. During surgery it works like a CT scanner to take three-dimensional images in real time. The O-arm gives surgeons incredible three-dimensional views of spinal anatomy and implant hardware, resulting in greatly improved accuracy and the ability to make adjustments at the time of surgery.
